Hilma af Klint, Painting for the Future – Now at the Guggenheim NYC

Hilma af Klint was a Swedish artist, born in 1862, created striking abstract works years before Kandinsky and Mondrian.

Now up at the Guggenheim, NYC

A command that Hilma af Klint followed:

“To obey intuition and not fully understand the art.”

Isn’t that, for better or worse, what all artists do?
