Martin Lambuth’s paintings are about nostalgia and Americana, with the objective to regulate the decay of time, capture a bit of history and allow viewers to delight in past glories before they are forever swept from the landscape. No brushes were harmed in the making of his paintings, as he paints primarily with plastic cards (credit cards, gift cards, room keys). His style gives the impression of realism at a distance and elements of abstraction up close, buried within layers of loose textures and rich color.
An award-winning artist, Martin Lambuth has been juried into local, regional and national shows in Colorado, Wyoming, Arizona, Texas, California, Idaho and Montana. Martin studied under several local and national art luminaries. His work is in the permanent collection of the Cheyenne Depot Museum, JAMS Denver, Three Tree Capital, The Children’s Hospital in Denver and Parker, Kaiser Permanente in Castle Rock and the City of Loveland.
