The Broad Museum on Grand Ave. (downtown) is a contemporary art museum founded by philanthropists Eli Broad and his wife Edythe, to exhibit their personal collection of modern (post-war) and contemporary art. The very unusual building was designed by the NYC architectural firm of Diller Scofidio + Renfro in collaboration with the Denver based Architectural firm, Gensler. The museum presents an active program of rotating temporary exhibits, innovative audience engagement events and is home to more than 2,000 works of art in the Broad collection, which is among the most prominent holdings of postwar and contemporary art worldwide.

The Broad Museum collection is quite deep and the museum will change out the exhibition hall, as often as possible, to keep the museum experience fresh, they will also bring in traveling exhibitions from other collections.
