“AMERICAN ROAD TRIP”
Editor’s Note: This photo essay is about rural America and the highways that connect all of the USA together. I am always interested in how different things catch the individual photographer’s eye. Any other person would tell a completely different story. This photo essay happened during a solo drive through Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Arkansas, and Kansas. America’s long stretches of interstate highways can be lonely and quiet on a solo road trip – no talking, only the radio to keep one company.
On this road trip, most of the images were taken from inside my car, camera pointed out of the side window. I did not want to miss an isolated scene, accidentally appearing in front of me. A few photos were taken on terra-ferma, when my only choice to get the photograph was to stop the car, turn around, go back then get out of the car to take a photography too good to pass up.
There are no captions, I don’t think any are needed.
Enjoy!
