Mary Ann Docktor-Smith Loves Vintage Costume Jewelry

Mary Ann Docktor-Smith is a Chicago transplant now enjoying the warm climate and beautiful scenery of rural Arizona. She is an avid collector of vintage costume jewelry, a historian and also sells the wonderful pieces she collects, just so she can search out even more unique collectable works of art. Docktor-Smith has been a speaker presenting her research on various vintage jewelry topics at many venues including the CJCI Annual Convention; Bead Society of Greater Chicago; Chicago Botanic Garden; and VFCJ Vintage Jewelry Cruise to name a few.

Being an expert in vintage costume jewelry she was asked to write about her research in a recent article titled “Costume Jewelry Manufacturing Concepts”, which appeared this year in Costume Jewelry Collectors International Magazine. Docktor-Smith also writes a monthly column: “Jewel Notes from Mary Ann”.

Mary Ann Docktor-Smith lives in Catalina, Arizona with her husband, Randy Smith. She is an avid reader, loves to travel, is a proficient photographer (food and landscapes) and is an amazing gourmet cook.
