Snow, Snow, Look at the Snow! It’s Winter in Colorado!

(Editor’s Note: BOOK REVIEW – Kenneth Libbrecht’s books use a photomicroscope to photograph these tiny snowflakes showing them as small frozen crystals of water. There is a natural beauty to these miracles too small to be appreciated by the unaided human eye. This article is intended to promote Mr. Libbrecht’s books which feature his very interesting photos of snowflakes. Link to purchase his books is at the end of this article.)

IN COLORADO EVERYBODY GETS EXCITED ABOUT SNOW,

BECAUSE SNOW MEANS WINTER SPORTS AND FUN IN THE MOUNTAINS!

We have all heard every snowflake is unique!

Let’s take a look at a few snowflakes, and yes, each one is unique!

Nineteenth-century poet, Henry Wordsworth Longfellow wrote:

.     Out of the bosom of the air / out of the cloud folds of her garments shaken.

.     Over the woodlands brown and bare / over the harvest-fields forsaken.

.     Silent and Soft and Slow / Descends the Snow!
