2019 – A Special SURPRISE Issue – For the Holidays!

HELLO AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

For those of us who celebrate Christmas, the morning is all about surprise, for kids seeing what has been left for them and for adults opening the mysteries that have been such a secret all wrapped up under the tree. Well, that is exactly our approach with this special 2019 holiday issue. Along with some brand new content, we have gone back through our past issues and found little bundles of surprises for you! It has been fun and a break from our normal dedication to delivering the ARTS&FOOD® of a particular city, served up for you to discover – we will come right back to our city by city approach after the Holidays.

Since November and December host America’s big Holiday Season, there is no better way to celebrate than through culture, gifts, and surprises! Starting with the traditional overindulgent Thanksgiving Day Meal, then following that up by attending fancy Holiday Galas, Dress to the Nines Parties, Festive Lights Around Town, Holiday Music played as we shop and Exceptional Christmas Entertainment both live, streaming online and on television. – This is indeed the most exciting time of the year!

Many Americans have already done much of their Holiday Shopping by the time Thanksgiving weekend comes to an end, with eCommerce playing such a big role now. Today online shopping makes “everything in the world” available from the comfort of our homes, at any hour. Physical retail will always have a place in America, but the digital era has changed every aspect of our lives, most notably how we shop.

As an online publisher, neck-deep in eCommerce, I still enjoy going out into the cold weather, walking through retail stores, hearing the holiday music, seeing the lights and wrapping myself in a bright and cheery holiday vibe, with frost on the windows and snow under my feet.

Come January, all of those beautiful yuletide snow-scenes outside, transform into just another freezing winter day, where I dread going out into the ear-numbing cold.

Enjoy the Holidays and if you find yourself in having a great time during this season… COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS!

Until later,

ARTS&FOOD®

On our cover: “Christmas in Colorado” Illustrator/Painter John Lencyciki, was my dear friend. He passed a while back and he painted this beautiful work of art for me, to illustrate a story – then gave me the painting, which I treasure! He was a fine artist in every way, trained in New York City, but he had adopted Denver, Colorado as his home. Everyone who knew him, misses him, but his art has a life of its own. Thank you John, for all of the good times shared at New Year’s and for being able to work together on publications, with your illustrations.
