Raul Gonzalez’s “Front and Back, and Side to Side” takes inspiration from the 1999 Edition Schellmann catalog “Wall Works”. /the artist used only duct tape and cardboard to compose vibrant and dynamic grids installed strategically throughout the gallery calling into question non-traditional versus traditional methods of mark-making. Using common materials in unique ways, he creates for the viewer a striking, immersive environment.
