ART IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE PRADA MARFA – STORE FRONT / ART INSTALLATION!

Prada Marfa is a permanently installed sculpture by artists Elmgreen and Dragset, situated about 26 miles northwest of the city of Marfa, Texas. The installation was inaugurated on October 1, 2005. The artists called the work a “pop architectural land art project”. Literally in the middle of nowhere, I came across this PRADA storefront along the side of a Texas Highway. Among a dry prairie full of yucca plants and not much else was this interesting, contemporary art installation, titled “Prada Marfa”.
