HANDMADE! When we casually walk across a handmade oriental rug, we should be more aware of the amount of labor and centuries of passed-down techniques that went into its creation. I have heard rug dealers say, people don’t want traditional design rugs anymore. The craft needs to be appreciated as much or more than the utility. We love handmade Persian (Iranian) and other middle eastern handmade rugs! They will someday vanish, as technology takes over, there are already machines that can make this same rug in a day from digitized patterns!
