Spring 2020 – Life, Art, Food in the Time of Social Distancing!

IT’S SPRING & WE ARE SHUTTERED INSIDE!

Yes, we are all shuttered inside as I write this note. (They are still allowing dog walking, outside.) The whole situation is a bit hard to comprehend, with 98% of all businesses having closed their public offices or storefronts, and the restaurants are trying to survive off of take out and delivery only! People are getting sick in every area of every city, our national borders are closed, flights are down to almost 0, no one is in the hotels, it’s questionable to ride in an Uber, basically there is very little travel going on what-so-ever! WOW! This is like a science fiction novel, except it’s not, this is reality!

We all are being optimistic and making the most of our 24/7 time at home.

At our household, we have used this time pretending we are on a grand CRUISE, cooking some truly wonderful meals, having mid afternoon tea, and stopping at ports around the internet globe, to research great art.

Since none of us are able to travel, home access to great Arts and Food® is the Focus of this Spring issue – with home cooking and virtual museum visits.

So, let’s have some fun, and stop being worried sick about getting sick.  Remember every storm eventually runs out of rain and we will hear the normal buzz of business and life as things get back to normal in our world!

God Bless America, the world and the amazing human race, for maybe the first time, we ALL realize we are in this together!

STAY SAFE, STAY HOME – ENJOY THIS SPRING 2020 ISSUE OF ARTS&FOOD® !

If this is “Day No. ??” of self-imposed “social distancing” – we might as well make it pleasant by cooking great food!

EGGS BENEDICT over LATKES w/ Baguette Toast and Orange Marmalade make a great Sunday brunch. (Under the Eggs and Hollandaise are Classic Potato Latkes.) You might need to keep the calorie count lower for the rest of the day.

Make physical distancing into a pleasurable staycation!
